Just when you think this country has gotten to the lowest possible point, and the leading university publishes a piece full of bigotry, hate, and lies, the people of this country turn right around and do something wonderful.
The response from people of all walks of life has been overwhelmingly beautiful, and after yesterday, the gay community in Lebanon can rest assured that it has extensive support from Lebanese citizens.
Thank you all for taking the time to do something about this unfortunate event. You’ve warmed my heart and have given me endless hope.
More importantly, you have shown the young gay boy or girl that had to read Mohamad Sibai’s words yesterday that his views are not shared by everyone.
That alone has saved lives.
Thank you all!

In small steps we will reach the goal of happy coexistence. Congratulations for Lebanon. Next step: Jordan, and the rest of the Arab world to soon follow!
