Hi. Just discovered you. After reading the safe sex post I signed up immediately as a follower. I’m an older gay male. 64 years old. Came out at 50. It’s very important to me to learn as much as I can about what I missed for 50 years. Thanks for your insights.

Most profound Raja – you’ve captured some very similar actions and thoughts that I have had in the past. I too have been involved in HIV work and prevention for the last 7 years. You’ve touched on something very poignant about the way we connect to ourselves, our lovers and our histories as gay men infected/affected by HIV. Thank you and kudos on the courage to speak your mind!
I wish I was able to write Arabic fluently. Unfortunately, I can’t. But maybe in the future I can find Arabic speaking collaborators. 🙂 Thanks for reading though!
i’m an openly-gay american studying international relations and modern middle eastern studies in the states. i’m looking into studying abroad in beirut for my arabic requirement, and i’m using your blog as a resource! love it!
Thanks Adrian! Beirut is a great city though probably not the ideal place to learn Arabic because everyone has at least a vague understanding of English and a huge number of people are bilingual and trilingual. But it’s still a great place to come to. 🙂
Thanks for reading by the way. If you have any questions about queerdom in Beirut, don’t hesitate to ask!
I just discovered your blog today. I don’t have the time to read as much as I’d like but I am impressed with what I’ve seen so far. I’m following your site now and know that I’ll visit again, often. Nice work, my blogging brother! Keep on writing! 😉
Thanks Roger! I appreciate it. I just stopped by your blog as well. It’s funny to read about a nudist living in DC, with all that cold. Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate it.
Hi there. Im a gay American male from SoCal. I just stumbled across your blog a few weeks ago. I’m glad I did because I find it interesting, captivating, honest and funny. I really appreciate what you write and want to tell you I think you are a brave soul.
I plan on following your blog from now on. THANK you!!
Gino’s article has been very appropriately put back in context, with just the right dose of humor. And I read a couple of older posts, will definitely subscribe 🙂

Got here via the ‘Every Article on Beirut’ post and have to say I love this blog. Very sensitively written stuff, by turns moving and hilarious.
